Malaya University-National University of Singapore Exchange (MUNUS) Interactive Games 2017
This year, the Malaya University-National University of Singapore Exchange (MUNUS) Interactive Games 2017 was hosted by the National University of Singapore (NUS) on the 21st and 22nd of January with an aim to foster closer ties between dental students. We got to experience the enchantment of Singapore, a modern, vibrant and elegant city of learning, enjoying the warm welcome and gracious hospitality extended to us. We are truly grateful for it and appreciate the effort made by NUS in ensuring the success of the event.
During the event, we had the opportunity to participate in three friendly matches of futsal, basketball and frisbee before the ultimate battle – Captain’s ball. It was a very nice and experience to play and plough through various games with different teams. Once again, congratulation to NUS for bagging the Gold medal!! We had a city tour as well. We wandered through the garden by the bay, enjoying the vibrant plant life and escaping the bustling city. There, we got a glimpse of the opulent Marina Bay Sands, which is said to be a microcosm of the city rooted in Singapore's culture, climate, and contemporary life. At night, we visited Clarke Quay, indulging ourselves in the mesmerizing night scene. We met a lovely bunch of people throughout the trip. It was really nice to meet up with students from a different region and have conversations over our different lives. We share the same identity as dental students but through conversations learnt the uniqueness of both sides. The event has fostered friendship and a collaborative spirit with no barriers, not even invisible or unspoken ones, between us. It was definitely an enriching and fruitful experience.
